Not my favourite MBN. I stuck with it and framed it so that the background is largely absent. The colours were not as shown. Too much brown, dull pink and the blue was purple. I am OK with the finished result and this hasn't put me off...all the other paintings I have had have been excellent. Just think this one could do with a bit of a redesign.
The finished product is more rosy than pink and the background darker and more golden than the online pic appears. Still georgeous, just was hoping for pinker flowers and a more neutral background. Painted for a gift because it so closely resembled her pink peonies.
I’m glad I bought extra paint because this is taking a long time to finish and it’s good to have fresh to repaint. I keep looking and finding places that need to be repainted. Over and over. The colors don’t match the representation. i. e. Flowers and vase are purple not blue.
I found this extremely challenging. Lots of detail and very small cells. Several light colors needed several coats of paint and some numbers were so tiny a magnifying glass did not help. But in spite of those complaints I enjoyed painting these beautiful peonies. It was just my 4th (and most difficult)PBN and I learned a lot. I will proudly hang this in my home. Even though I had a few complaints I’m still giving it a 5. The canvas was good quality and I liked it already stretched and framed. And the finished painting is beautiful and I’m proud of it
