I wanted to do an easier one for a change and my husband used to raise mallard ducks. It's also a nice pairing with Marsh Masters I painted last year. I love doing animal paintings. It was fun to see it all finally come together.
This painting was fun in spite of the fact that several colors were not coordinated with the accompanying photo. I took some liberties and even made the water bluer. The birds were happy when they saw the finished product. Me too. I guess that 4.5 stars is a better vote.
I have now completed approximately 20 MPN paintings and truly enjoy the quality of the service will always use their products.
Masterpiece By Numbers offers the most realistic PBNs, in my opinion, and Incoming Mallards has a great level of detail without a lot of ridiculously tiny cells for this first-time PBN-er (plus, I love ducks!). Overall, the paints were good quality and went on well with a little Flow-Aid added as needed, although some of the semi-opaque and transparent colors required extra coats. I am very happy with the final result!
