The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890) - One of the most recognizable paintings by Van Gogh was painted in 1889, just one year before his death.

Largely self-taught, Van Gogh produced more than 2,000 oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, and sketches, which became in demand only after his death.

Now you can paint this wonderful painting with our amazing paint by numbers kit from our Old Masters Collection.

Each Masterpiece By Numbers kit is produced with care and attention to produce a painting as close to the original artwork as possible.

    Starry Starry Night

I love these Van Goghs. I have done them all. I did the previous Starry Starry Night a few years ago and gave that one to my son because he loves that painting. This current version was lighter and easier to do. The original version was quite detailed. The only thing that I think could be improved is the lighter colors. Being so light the whites and yellows don't quite cover up the numbers. I have to continually add paint until I could not see the numbers anymore.
I really enjoy these projects. I have done so many that I have lost count! Van Gogh's Irises is hanging in my family room and his Sunflowers is hanging in our get-away home in NV. They all turn out great and I am a forever fan of Masterpiece by Numbers. I wish that you would add 'Sunday in the Park' by Georges Seurat as that is my husband's favorite.
Thank you for providing me with hours upon hours of peaceful and relaxing enjoyment!

    Pretty darn good

As a first-time newbie painter (76 years old,) having never painted before, this project was not an easy task. I would not recommend "Starry Nights" as a first learning project. I have 69 hours in the painting, so it's not for the impatient. However, I enjoyed the project immensely and learned a lot. The brushes are at minimum questionable that come with the painting. I suggest buying maybe, the "Premier" brand or an equal as suggested by my wife, the artist (oils) in the family. The canvas was not framed, I would not buy it unframed again. As a matter of fact, the latest two canvases I've purchased from Masterpiece are framed, and one is custom. I think my rendition of "Starry Nights" looks pretty good for a complete "newbie." You decide...lol

    VanGogh's Starry Night was FUN

After working on a much more detailed painting, I loved Starry Night. The curves in the sky were fun and it looks great on the wall above my bed. This was my first framed one and I enjoyed that.

    ANSWERED!

    Your Questions

I have never painted before, can I do it?

Yes, of course, you can! Paint-by-numbers kits are designed for all skill levels, including beginners. Our numbered system provides clear guidance, making it easy to create a stunning piece of artwork.

How long do your kits take?

The time required to complete a paint-by-numbers painting depends on the complexity of the design and your painting speed. It can take anywhere from a few hours to several days or even weeks to finish. It's the journey though!

For mini kits, it typically takes around 2–4 hours.

    Framed or unframed?

Our framed kits include our artist’s grade linen canvas on our patented frame that is also an easel stand. Our unframed kits come as a rolled canvas. See our video →

Why can't I pick the number of colors?

You can’t choose the number of paint pots for an image. If an image has 24 colors, it can’t be made into 48 — companies offering this are just duplicating colors and charging more. More colors don’t create more detail; the original artwork does. At MBN, we license all of our copyrighted images, so the number of colors depends entirely on the original artist’s painting.

    Should I clean my brush?

Yes, it is advisable to clean your paintbrush when changing colors as well as after each painting session.

Clean your brushes with cool water and lay flat to dry.
