The Garden at Sainte-Adresse By Claude Monet (French, 1840–1926) - Monet spent the summer of 1867 with his family at Sainte-Adresse, a seaside resort near Le Havre. It was there that he painted this buoyant, sunlit scene of contemporary leisure, enlisting his father (shown seated in a panama hat) and other relatives as models.

I really enjoyed painting this one. The colours are beautiful and it’s not too complicated. It took me about 2 weeks to complete with me working a couple of hours each day. Very satisfying!
Like this one. Also painted "Poppy Fields". Both rich in deep colors. Don't like a lot of white. Still working on the garden. Will be looking forward to picking my next choice at MPbN.
Lovely colors, a lot easier to paint than you would think. I teach art to elementary school students and Monet’s works are included in our program. I’ll be sure to show this piece in my next class.
I loved painting this picture, it was very detailed, but that’s what makes it a very sophisticated Claude Monet picture. I give a lot of my painting away, but this one I will keep to enjoy for myself. I’m now on to painting the Claude Monet Poppy Fields.
