Poppy Fields Near Argenteuil By Claude Money (French, 1840–1926) - Claude Monet painted The Poppy Field in 1873 on his return from the United Kingdom (in 1871) when he settled in Argenteuil with his family until 1878. It was a time that provided the artist with great fulfillment as a painter.

Once again I am impressed by Masterpiece and the quality of product they provide. I really enjoyed doing the Monet painting and currently working on Van Gogh Sunflowers 🌻. This is my 3rd purchase from Masterpiece and won't be my last.
My first painting. Seems to be turning out very nice almost done I’m enjoying this very much. Order another set of paint brushes. We ordered three other paintings and are excited to start the others
Ordered this on a whim to help pass the winter. Last paint by numbers I did was probably in the 1950's. The canvas and paints were outstanding and the paper guide came in very handy, given the large number of very small sections to paint. The special brushes were an absolute must. My wife was so pleased with result, I ordered another, Beach Scene, which also came out great. My sister ordered the Monet from Masterpiece after seeing the final result. Highly recommended, much better than the craziness of politics and Covid.
I decided to start with a painting that had soft lines and Monets Poppy Fields painting was perfect, very forgiving. It looks great. My grown daughter asked for it to hang in her apartment before I was even finished! After about a week after completing this painting I was itching to start again, so relaxing. I put on music and time flys by. My only complaint would be that the canvas was a little rough, and little white dots were everywhere. It was a painting with a lot of pastels so not too noticeable. I had also bought a farm scene to paint and this canvas is not as rough, so much easier to paint.
