Bedroom in Arles by Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890) ) - While he was in Arles, Van Gogh made this painting of his bedroom in the Yellow House. He prepared the room himself with simple furniture and with his own work on the wall. The bright colors were meant to express absolute ‘repose’ or ‘sleep’. Research shows that the strongly contrasting colors we see in the work today are the result of discoloration over the years. The walls and doors, for instance, were originally purple rather than blue.

Dear Masterpiece By Numbers. I am a caregiver of loved one who is stricken with progressive Alzheimer’s Disease. My life is not easy at this time and because my mind is constantly dwells on troubles, painting by numbers has helped me pour most of it into beautiful art.
I am grateful to you beyond measure.
The materials are top notch. Van Gogh is my all time favorite however neurotic he must have been, he was generous in his art.
