One of many paintings from Masterpiece by Numbers that I have done. This one came out great. Just ordered another one today. Doug
I needed something to help alleviate the stress of staying home for a year during the pandemic. I went all in and ordered 3 paintings, 2 for our home & 1 to paint for my Mom as a Birthday gift. I started my Mom's first; Let Your Dreams Soar (hot air balloons over a shoreline). I've never painted in adult life other than walls & trim, so at first I was a bit stressed out trying to make a perfect masterpiece. I would take pictures of the painting and update my friends, and everyone always replied how great it looked. Gradually, I realized I wasn't stressing over the imperfections or my lack of ability as much, I was enjoying watching the painting come to life, and that "I DID THIS!". I'm now moving on to my "Desert Island", then will do "Lake Reflection" thereafter. Seeing the framed painting I did was so fulfilling, it came out AWESOME! I am slow at it, I still find myself fixating on getting the perfect line, but I certainly have gained speed in the course of just 1 painting. Paint by numbers is going to be my thing from now on. :-)
This was a fun easy painting. Very colorful and it looks good on my wall. My 18th painting. On to the next one!
