I bought quiet time for a friend. He likes it and almost has it complete. I am just finishing up KZ 1039, Fighter, and Bomber. My very first painting from Masterpiece. I found it very detailed and hard to paint in places for these tired old eyes of 96 for my very first paint by numbers. But I am enjoying the process. I have learned some painting techniques along the way which will prepare me for my next painting. I found Masterpiece an excellent company to deal with and forthcoming when asked a question.
Have 38 hrs and am about 60% done. Using a small magnifying glass which helps on the small details. Will send it in when completed.
Absolutely enjoyed painting this picture. I gave it to my twin great grandsons for their bedroom with the mountain train picture. Both were just fantastic and well worth my efforts.
I've been doing PBNs for years, typically animals, and usually end up giving them to my grandma. This year for Christmas I decided to do one for my grandpa. It was definitely one of the more difficult ones I've done, as some parts were super intricate, but overall it was a great kit. Intermediate or advanced skills will help blend the water and clouds a bit better. I was in a rush and did not do as well as I could have, but he still loves it and it's getting it framed.
